Driver enters plea

The driver of a vehicle that police believe hit and killed a Springfield Township man pleaded innocent to vehicular homicide Monday morning.

Whitney Yaeger, 19, was charged in the June 17 accident that killed Dave Muslovski, 55. She was arraigned in Struthers Municipal Court where she entered her plea and posted $2,500 bond.

Muslovski owned Iron City Wood Products in Campbell. He had been walking on the westbound side of Middletown Road when the accident occurred.

The prosecutor offered no comment in the case. Yaeger’s pretrial hearing is set to begin at 9:45 a.m. Dec. 15. Cruze In planned

WARREN

United Auto Workers Local 1112 will announce the Pepsi General Motors Then and Now Car Cruze In this morning. The Cruze In, from 2 to 5:30 p.m. July 24, is a collaboration among the union, the National Packard Museum and the River Rock at the Amp concert series. The Cruze In will include an auto show featuring 2010 and older GM models at Courthouse Square in Warren.

People with Lordstown-built cars can meet at the GM plant in Lordstown between noon and 1 p.m. to lead the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze to Warren. The Cruze will be unveiled at the River Rock Concert at 6:30 p.m. The event coincides with the National Packard show and opening of the museum wing from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

VIENNA

Eighteen members of the 910th Airlift Wing deployed today for six months to locations in Kandahar, Afghanistan, and Thumrait, Oman, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Sixteen members assigned to the 76th Aerial Port Squadron and two members of the 910th Logistics Readiness Squadron will provide cargo handling, passenger services and ramp services for Air Terminal Operation Centers in the region. They are scheduled to return in December.

‘Bagels for Babies’

Panera Bread is partnering with Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley for their first “Bagels for Babies” campaign. For every cinnamon crunch bagel sold today, Panera Bread will donate all proceeds to the hospital.

The Bagels for Babies campaign will take place at Panera Bread locations in Austintown, Boardman, Canfield, Warren and Hermitage.

Clear Channel Radio will support the fund-raising effort with live broadcasts at the local bakery/cafes from 6 to 10 a.m. Also, WKBN TV-27 will host a Kids Identi-kit in which children can receive a free identification card and an emergency-information booklet. The Kids Identi-kit will be at the Warren location between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
