Scrappers blasted by Batavia

The Mahoning Valley Scrappers’ three-game winning streak in the New York-Penn League came crashing to an inglorious halt on Monday night.

The Scrappers (5-6) led by a run after six inning, but the host Batavia Muckdogs (5-6) tied the score in the bottom of the seventh inning, then exploded for eight runs an inning later to hand the Scrappers an 11-3 defeat.
