Hubbard center to host family event

Sharon Regional Health System’s Hubbard Diagnostic & Specialty Center will host a community appreciation day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 11 in the center’s parking lot at 880 W. Liberty St.

The event will feature free face painting, balloons, blood-pressure screenings and music from the Hubbard Chorale. Also included are St. Pat’s car raffle, food from Frankie’s Main Street Cafe, free-throw shooting contest (within defined age groupings), putting contest and a number of other family activities.

Those attending can register for a family getaway to Wildwater Kingdom in Aurora, which includes four free tickets plus a $25 gas card, an overnight package to Julia’s Bed & Breakfast, and other prizes. Tours of the Diagnostic & Specialty Center also will be available.

The Hubbard Christians in Action will have a food drive during the event. Attendees are encouraged to donate canned goods or dry food items to benefit area families.
