Barita 50th is celebrated in Cleveland

Pier W in Cleveland was the setting at 5:30 p.m. June 26 as family members gathered for a dinner party in celebration of the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. James Barita of Hubbard.

Hosts for the event were the couple’s children, Linda Pountney of North Ridgeville, Carole Barita of Cleveland and Mark Barita of Woodbridge, Va. There are four grandchildren in the family.

The former Judith Ross and Mr. Barita were united in marriage June 25, 1960, at St. Patrick Church, where they are members. They are also members of St. Patrick Senior Citizens and Sharon Tube Retirees Club.

Mrs. Barita retired in 1999 from St. Patrick School, where she was a librarian and government clerk.

Mr. Barita served with the U.S. Air Force and was an electrician at Sharon Tube Co. in Sharon, Pa., prior to retiring in 2001.
