OSHP recovers vehicle believed involved in pedestrian killing


BRACEVILLE

The Warren Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol has recovered a vehicle it believes was involved in the hit/skip traffic crash that killed pedestrian Luke Macaluso, 19, of Leavittsburg, around 12:55 a.m. Friday .

Macaluso and his girlfriend, Brittany Russell, 18, of Warren, were walking southbound on Center South Road, when a light-colored vehicle traveling south on Center South Road struck and killed Macaluso and then fled the scene.

Russell was not injured, according to the State Patrol.

As of Saturday night, , no arrests had been made in the traffic death, said the OSHP, which is processing the vehicle for evidence in an effort to determine the identity of the driver.
