1080, Action win in Class B

Dillon Haviland pitched a two-hit shutout as 1080 Media defeated Astro Falcons, 8-0, in a Class B League game at Cene Park on Friday.

Haviland struck out 11 while walking only one for 1080 (15-2), which scored four runs in the fifth inning to break open a 3-0 game.

Joe Aulizia had two hits and three runs scored for 1980 Media. Dan Popio had two hits, including a double, two RBIs, and he scored a run. Cavan Cohoes had two hits, while Matt Shelton hit a two-run double for 1080.

Kolin Stanley took the loss for Astro, while Kyle Allen had a triple.

Action Physical Therapy 9, Dave Sugar Excavating 3

Action Physical Therapy used a strong offensive attack to defeat Dave Sugar Excavating.

Brad Kelley came on in relief to pick up the victory. Cody Kirk had two hits, including a double, two RBIs, and a run scored, while Matt Corner had two hits, including a double, a RBI, and three runs scored.

Tim Schraldi added two hits and scored two runs for Action.

Andre Jones suffered the loss for Sugar. Jones had three hits and scored a run, while Cody Pitzo had two hits to lead the Sugar attack.
