Making the last day of school memorable is the idea Union had in mind when planning its fun day.

Union Elementary celebrated its last day of school June 11 with a day of fun. All grades took turns participating in outside and inside activities.

Students watched movies, played kickball, football, catch and four square. Despite the full day of activities, students still received their recess break where they were treated to vanilla ice cream.

Students wore their blue school T-shirts to demonstrate school spirit. Some even came to school with blue hair. As a finale to the day, faculty and staff danced to the classic song “YMCA” in front of the students and taught them their dance moves.
