Two Youngstown men face charges in shooting death

A Mahoning County grand jury has indicted two men charged in a recent homicide and a man facing charges of child pornography.
The grand jury handed up indictments Thursday against Albert E. Whitted III, 23, of East Boston Avenue, and Joseph Valentine, 21, of E. Avondale Avenue, on charges of aggravated murder, murder, kidnapping and aggravated robbery. They are in the Mahoning County jail on $1 million bond each.
Whitted and Valentine are charged in the death of Marlon Chatman, 28, who was shot twice in the leg earlier this month at 360 W. Chalmers Ave. Chatman was shot after he let two men into the house. He died a short time later in St. Elizabeth Health Center.
William McCants, 42, of Garfield Street, was indicted on 50 counts of having sexually oriented material involving children. He is charged with 10 counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material, 15 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, and 25 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor. He also is in the county jail on a $400,000 bond.
According to police, the investigation into McCants began earlier this year after his estranged wife brought police a computer disc with images of McCants and young, nude girls.
Police estimate the children on the disc and still photos to be between age 10 and 12.

Dante Moore, 25, Oxford Street, trafficking in marijuana, possession of dangerous drugs and trafficking in marijuana.
Jamal Vaughn, 26, Berwick Avenue, falsification.
Nicole Miladore, 25, Spring Park Drive, possession of drugs.
Odell Oakley IV, 19, John Street, Struthers, burglary.
Jamal Turner, 18, Orrin Avenue, carrying a concealed weapon and improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle.
Robert Mikula, 18, Mansell Drive, Liberty, possession of heroin.
Denise Molina, 50, Ohio Avenue and Belmont Avenue, tampering with evidence and escape.
Henry Garner, 47, West Madison Avenue, attempted theft and possession of criminal tools.
Alfred Rose, 44, East Boston Avenue, attempted theft and possession of criminal tools.
Michelle Humans, 30, Wilhelm Street, possession of cocaine and theft of drugs.
Thomas Myers, 45, Lakewood Drive, Lake Milton, felonious assault.
Sheena Backus, 24, state Route 14, Rootstown, theft.
