St. Christine sixth-grade basketball team dominates

The St. Christine sixth-grade girls basketball team completed another successful season finishing with a 50-3 record.

The Lady Crusaders won the sixth-grade girls parochial league championship, finishing with a perfect 13-0 record.

Winning this championship was the first priority of the season.

The team continued playing in the YMCA select league taking first place honors with a 7-0 record.

The girls competed in eight additional basketball tournaments across the area, finishing undefeated in five of eight tournaments.

They were tournament champions in Lordstown, Niles, Jackson Milton and St. Christine. The team captured second place in Newton Falls and third place in Girard.

The Lady Crusaders were 3-0 at Poland before a snowstorm canceled final play and finished undefeated in the Canfield tournament.
