Last week: The Hartford native started 43 at the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma, Calif., and made it through 86 laps — about 172 miles — before calling it a day with a 37th-place finish. Blaney spun out on lap 58 which brought out the race’s second caution.

Season to date: Blaney is in 41st place in the Sprint Cup Series standings, with 551 points. He’s 70 points behind No. 40 Mike Bliss.

This weekend: NASCAR’s top series heads to Loudon, N.H., for the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday. TV coverage (TNT) begins at noon with the green flag scheduled to drop shortly after 1 p.m.
