With the upcoming Steel Valley Super Nationals event at the Quaker City Raceway, the Ohio Department of Transportation District 4 reminds motorists allow extra travel time for road closures.

State Route 45 from Western Reserve Road to Berlin Station Road in Ellsworth is closed until mid-September for an intersection grade adjustment and culvert replacement.

The detour is U.S. Route 224 to state Route 534 to state Route 14 to state Route 165.

The work is part of a $1.4 million project to improve the intersection of state Route 45 and Leffingwell Road by lowering the hill on state Route 45 just before the intersection.

The project also includes the replacement of two culverts on Route 45 north of Leffingwell. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by October.

In Green Township, state Route 165 just east of state Route 62 is closed until late July for culvert work.

The detour will be state Route 46 to state Route 446 to Route 62 to Route 165. Access to all residences and establishments will be maintained during construction.

The work is part of a $1.6 million project to resurface Route 165 from 8th Street, the northern Beloit corporation limit, to Route 14.

The project also includes the replacement of three culverts. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by September.

Possible alternate routes include Route 14 and U.S. Route 62.
