CLUB CALENDAR | Local organizations plan meetings


ASSOCIATIONS

Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA), is an international motorcycle organization that embraces safe riding, making friends and having fun. The local chapter, Chapter M, welcomes all bikers and their co-riders to attend meetings and become members of GWRRA. If you have a bike other than a Gold Wing you can become an associate member. The next meeting will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at Yankee Kitchen, 6635 Market St. Boardman. After supper, the meeting follows at 6. Each month features a theme. This month it is to wear stars and stripes. Remember to wear your Gold Wing vest if you have one. Rides and events scheduled for the coming month will be announced at the meeting. Also to be discussed is the annual picnic in August at Beaver Creek State Park. The club has weekly Friday night fires, weather permitting. William Penn Association, Branch 28, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Eat ’n Park in Boardman. Plans will be made for 2010 activities and trips.

CLASSES

Austintown Fitch High School Classes of 1959 and 1960 will have a breakfast meeting at 9 a.m. Saturday at Davidson’s Restaurant.

CLUBS

American Hungarian Club, Donald Avenue, Youngstown, will meet at 7 p.m. Monday to prepare for the YSU Arts Festival in July. A light picnic at 5 p.m. at the clubhouse will precede the meeting. Those attending are asked to take a small casserole; meat will be served by the officers.

Mahoning Valley Cribbage Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at St. James Church, 76 Glenwood Ave., Boardman. New players are welcome. For more information call 330-757-9503.

Warren Women’s Connection will welcome husbands and friends at a “Music, Music, Music” luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 12 at DiLucia’s Banquet Room, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. Featured will be duets by Jim and Rita Stewart. The inspirational speaker will be Rita Stewart, who will share her story. The cost is $12 per person. Western Reserve Amateur Radio Club will have an annual field day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at 8095 Columbiana-Canfield Road, 1/4 mile south of Leffingwell Road. Youngstown Women’s Connection will have a “Pearls of Wisdom” luncheon at noon July 13at Lucianno’s Banquet Room, 1739 Raccoon Road, Austintown. Lila Sophia Jewelry will be shown by Christine Costines. Jim and Rita Stewart will present musical selections, and the guest speaker will be Rita Stewart, who will share the secret to lasting wealth. Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild has scheduled a picnic meeting of the Silver Thimbles for 10 a.m. July 1 at the home of Barb Dyurica.

Girard Men’s Democrat Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Parkwood Youth Center.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

The Altar and Rosary Society of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church will meet at 7 p.m. Monday for the Rosary at the church, 618 Ohio Ave., with a meeting to follow.

St. Anthony Altar and Rosary Society will meet after 10:30 a.m. Mass Sunday at the church.

St. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the parish house.
