Celebrate Poland Schedule of events

All events are located at Poland’s Village Green, 308 S. Main St. unless otherwise noted. This is a tentative schedule:

Today

All day: Civil War encampment

5 to 8:30 p.m.: Strawberry Festival, Poland Presbyterian Church, 2 Poland Manor

5 to 11 p.m.: DJ Tony Tonite

5 to 9 p.m.: Bounce-A-Round (Cost ranges from $1-$3)

6 to 9 p.m.: 2nd annual chicken dinner by the Sons of the American Legion Squadron, 35 Cortland St.

7 p.m.: Annual fireman’s parade

8:45 p.m.: 9th annual flag disposal ceremony, 35 Cortland St.

10 p.m.: Fireworks

Saturday

All day: Civil War encampment

All day: Book sale, kids’ craft activities at the Poland Library

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Poland craft show

9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Chalk It Up for Poland!

10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Kids Fest: Bounce-A-Round, EMS vehicles and helicopter (Bounce-A-Round wristbands $8)

Noon to 4 p.m.: Poland Idol (Registration begins at 10:30 a.m.)

Noon to 3 p.m.: Petting zoo and pony rides

4:30 p.m.: Civil War wedding

5 p.m.: Civil War re-enactment at Baird Mitchell Field

7 p.m.: Youngstown Area Community Concert Band

8:30 p.m.: Lamp light tour of Riverside Cemetery
