Pa. couple charged with death of infant son

GREENVILLE, Pa. (AP) — A couple has been charged with homicide in the death of their 2-month-old son who authorities say wasn’t fed enough and was left outside in near freezing temperatures when he had trouble breathing.

Michael Rabold, 24, and Royanne Darr, 22, were arrested Wednesday and also charged with endangering the welfare of children for failing to feed their 15-month-old son. The couple also have a son who is just over 2 years old.

Authorities say 2-month-old Isaac Rabold died of malnutrition Jan. 17. The boy had been born premature and at the time of his death suffered from hypothermia, bed sores and a pervasive rash. Darr told police she never received prenatal care and only fed the boy about two ounces of formula a day.
