Ex-Springfield PTO treasurer gets probation in theft case
YOUNGSTOWN — Through tears, the former treasurer of Springfield schools PTO apologized.
Cheryl Blakeman, 38, was sentenced to three years of probation this morning. Judge James C. Evans of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court also ordered her to pay $15,000 in restitution to the PTO.
She presented a cashier’s check this morning for $4,000 of that amount.
