State Route 630 is closed west of Rapp Road because of a culvert failure. A township officials said sinkholes have formed in the road. A spokesman for the Ohio Department of Transportation District 4 said the road will be closed while repairs are made, which is expected to take between one and two weeks.

Arrested in threats

A man was arrested Sunday after people accused him of threatening them with a crossbow, police said.

Andrick Cetor, 53, of Terrace Street, was drunk and screaming obscenities as people who had business at the city jail pulled into the parking lot of his apartment building, police said.

After leaving the jail, the people walked back toward their car, at that time parked in the city hall parking lot. Cetor was across the street behind bushes, and he stood up and pointed the loaded crossbow at them while using obscenities and a racial slur, they told police.

He was charged with aggravated menacing, carrying a concealed weapon, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He posted $400, or 10 percent of a $4,000 bond, and was released.

Warren bar robbed

An employee of the Raiders Bar, 1704 W. Market St., reported that two people wearing masks and carrying firearms robbed the bar of an undisclosed amount of money about 1:40 a.m. Sunday.

License surrendered

COLUMBUS

Ohio Department of Insurance Director Mary Jo Hudson has announced that the department accepted the surrender of the resident insurance license of Christina Cole of Mineral Ridge for alleged violations of Ohio insurance law.

A department investigation revealed that Cole allegedly failed to remit about $14,687 of premium dollars to State Farm Insurance Co., Hudson said.

Arrested in burglary

Police were called to Miller’s Towing, 4100 Belmont Ave., about a burglary. After a search, they found the camouflage-dressed suspect in the lobby of the MetroPlex Hotel. Police charged Corben T. Bishop, 21, of the 1400 block of Rosewood Avenue, with possessing criminal tools, receiving stolen property, breaking and entering and criminal damaging. He was taken to Trumbull County Jail.

Police said Bishop told them he kicked in a side door and entered the business Sunday evening. Police said they found Corben with two GPS units, many CDs, several car chargers and 14 catalyic converters.

Man robbed on street

WARREN

A 37-year-old city man said he was robbed of his wallet at knife point at 1:30 p.m. Sunday on Front Street Southwest.

The victim said three men approached him in a blue, four-door car, with two of them getting out of the car and trying to sell him a hedge trimmer. When he refused to buy it, the third man threatened him with a kitchen knife until he got the victim’s wallet.

Menacing charges

WARREN

Two Charles Avenue Northeast men pleaded innocent to misdemeanor charges in Warren Municipal Court on Monday. Police say one of them pulled two knives and the other one fired a gun into the air during a dispute late Saturday.

Justin Bradley, 21, pleaded innocent to menacing and using weapons while intoxicated. Jack Vanderwall, 23, pleaded innocent to menacing. Both were released from the Trumbull County Jail after posting bond.

Police were called to Woodland Avenue Northeast near Logan Avenue about 11:30 p.m. by a Woodland resident, who said Bradley and Vanderwall threatened him. The resident and another man said Bradley fired a gun into the air, and Vanderwall was waving knives around.

Drug charges

Police charged Ronald E. Fleming, 41, of Sierra Madre Trail, Boardman, with possession of dangerous drugs, drug paraphernalia, open container and disorderly conduct after an incident about 8:30 p.m. Friday. Police followed a white vehicle driven by a woman into the parking lot at the Tally-Ho Motel because of information about unauthorized use of a vehicle. They found another vehicle, a white Oldsmobile, with the same license plate.

Fleming, the passenger, shouted profanities at police about finding his missing vehicle. In the car, police said they found an open beer container, suspected drug paraphernalia and pills for which Fleming had no prescription. He will appear today on the charges in Girard Municipal Court.
