Woman says man fired gun at her

YOUNGSTOWN

A 28-year-old woman told police that she was the target of an attempted robbery of her bicycle while on her way to get a meal at 10:37 p.m. Saturday.

She said a man fired a weapon at her near East Delason Avenue and Heasley Street.

She contacted police, who wanted to check her for a torso wound that might have been fired from a BB gun or a small pistol.

After determining the wound was from a bullet but wasn’t life-threatening, police directed her to talk to detectives.
