AKRON

A Korean War soldier will be buried Tuesday, nearly six decades after he was executed in the wake of a North Korean battle that claimed hundreds of U.S. troops.

The cremated remains of Army Pvt. Charles Harlan Higdon, 19, from Akron, are to be buried at Greenlawn Memorial Park with full military honors.

He went missing in action in November 1950.
