To practice in Texas

Ashley M. Senary of Boardman has received her juris doctorate degree summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison, Wis.

While at law school, Senary, a 2003 Boardman High School graduate, was an executive board member of the Moot Court Board, where she was named Outstanding Oralist at the Cardozo University Law School’s annual BMI Entertainment Law competition; a writer for The Journal of Gender, Law and Society; and performed clinical work for the Frank J. Remington Center’s Family Law Project, a civil-litigation clinic providing legal assistance to people incarcerated in Wisconsin state and federal prisons.

Senary has a bachelor’s degree in political science and women’s studies and a master’s degree in political theory, both from Ohio University.

She has accepted a position as an associate at the international law firm of Fulbright & Jaworski, LLP, in San Antonio, Texas, to begin in 2011. Her practice will focus on civil litigation and corporate bankruptcy.

Senary was sworn in as a member of the Wisconsin State Bar on Monday.She is the daughter of Jim and Debbie Senary of Boardman and the granddaughter of Frank Senary of Boardman and Mary Loro of Niles.

DOCTORS

New veterinarian

Brian A. Gorby of Berlin Center earned his doctor of veterinary medicine degree earlier this month from Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

He is a 2002 graduate of Western Reserve High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Findlay in 2006.

Dr. Gorby is employed at Riverside Drive Veterinary Clinic in Columbus. He is the son of Wayne and Pam Gorby of Berlin Center.

General surgery

Michael R. Krainock of Youngstown graduated from the University of Nevada Medical School in Reno, Nev.

Dr. Krainock received his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.

While in medical school, he received the Alpha Omega Alpha Caroyln L. Kuckein Scholarship Award, a research scholarship award from the American Association for Thoracic Surgery, and was a student-assistance committee member at the University of Nevada Reno Medical School.

He did student-research projects at Boston Children’s Hospital and at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.

Dr. Krainock will do his general-surgery residency at Loma Linda University Hospital in Los Angeles.

He is the son of Ken Krainock of Youngstown and Marietta DeMichael of Las Vegas.
