YSU among 74 in U.S. to be named Tree Campus USA University

YOUNGSTOWN

The Arbor Day Foundation will officially announce Youngstown State University as a Tree Campus USA University on Monday.

This designation will spotlight YSU for its forestry management and environmental responsibility.

The university has about 1,900 trees on its 145-acre campus, and joins four other universities in Ohio and 74 nationwide in this distinction. The announcement will be made at 10 a.m. between the Ward Beecher Planetarium and Maag Library, north of Lincoln Avenue.
