Juvenile crowd sets hay on fire in middle of street

YOUNGSTOWN

As many as 14 juveniles destroyed a pumpkin patch, set fire to bales of hay and knocked over garbage cans on Sherwood Avenue, according to police.

Police were called about the vandalism at 2:17 a.m. Friday in the 900 block of Sherwood.

The hay was set on fire in the middle of the street, making it impassable.

When officers arrived, the juveniles were gone.
