Arrest: Police charged 40-year-old David Sickmen of San Jose, Calif., with driving under suspension after pulling him over near U.S. Route 224 and Ohio Avenue. He admitted his California driver’s license had been suspended, a report said.
Investigation: Police noticed an open door at Poland Middle School, 47 College St., but found everything to be in order.
June 7
Theft: Numerous pieces of jewelry were missing from a residence in the 6800 block of Luteran Lane.
Felonious assault: Police charged 22-year-old Adam D. Swauger, 282 N. Edgehill Ave., Austintown, with felonious assault and criminal damaging after a Dobbins Road man reported having been assaulted during an argument.
June 9
Menacing: A Duncan Drive woman reported being stalked.
Harassment: A worker for a Center Road store reported being harassed.
Domestic violence: Christopher A. Bendel, 45, of 35 Delaware Ave., Poland, was charged after his stepdaughter alleged Bendel had pushed her to the ground to keep her out of a room.
Harassment: An Evergreen Drive woman told officers another woman left a voice mail containing derogatory comments.
June 10
Identity theft: A report was filed by a 16-year-old Eastbrooke Trail boy.
Arrest: Police charged Nicholas A. Bertschman, 25, of 35142 Columbia St., Leetonia, with driving under suspension after they pulled him over near U.S. Route 224 and Ohio Avenue.
Investigation: A Nesbitt Drive woman called police after someone knocked several times on her front door.
June 11
Breaking and entering: Took place in the 5700 block of New Castle Road, where a $2,200 moped was stolen.
