Joe Wetzl benefit Monday at Quaker Steak

AUSTINTOWN

A benefit for a Canfield man who died in a work accident is scheduled for Monday at Quaker Steak and Lube in Austintown.

James “Bo” Wetzl, 56, died April 7 in Hudson when a trench collapsed on him and another worker of A. Bagnoli and Sons, an excavating company based in Boardman.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration later said the trench was unsafe.

The family has since set up the James “Bo” Wetzl Memorial Fund, and the benefit at Quaker Steak and Lube, 5800 Interstate Blvd., just off Route 46, will help Wetzl’s family with unexpected expenses.

The benefit begins at 11 a.m. Monday and will continue all day.
