Forum Health hearing set Tuesday in bankruptcy court

YOUNGSTOWN — A hearing scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court is only for purpose of establishing sale procedures and will not address the merits of a proposed sale of Forum Health to Ardent Health Services, according to a statement by Forum Health.

Ardent has proposed buying Forum’s assets for $69.8 million and has pledged to keep all of the hospitals open and invest an additional $50 million to $70 million over five years on renovations, new equipment and other upgrades.

Notice will be provided for future hearings on the merits of the proposed sale, Forum’s statement said.
