Carnivals and fun go together — at least that’s what Dobbins Elementary believes.

The elementary spent June 10 rotating through various activities during its annual Fun Day. The theme for this year was “The Carnival is in Town.”

Clowns taught students how to make animals from balloons and a station was dedicated to decorating T-shirts with autographs from peers.

Outside activities included bean bag tossing, sack racing, ping-pong bucket tossing, an egg relay and an inflatable Bounce Around slide.

Inside the school, students played clown bingo and watched a clown show. Clowns had to dance and perform for the students whenever they chanted, “clowns, clowns, clowns!”

The event was sponsored by PTO members along with school staff.
