There was an incorrect headline on Page A11 of Friday’s Vindicator in the World Digest. The American construction worked detained in Pakistan claimed he was on a “mission from God” to kill Osama bin Laden.
Listings in Thursday’s Vibe had some errors on page C7:
Lemon Grove Caf , 122 W. Federal St., Youngstown, will have the Total Package Band performing from 7 to 9 p.m. today followed by two acoustic bands, Carl Hauck and Trishia Scully, and two rock bands, Herringbone and Deutschmark. The Parlor Scouts will perform at 10 p.m. Saturday at the Lemon Grove along with the Nervous Jerks and Way Yes.
The Comfort Inn, 136 N. Park Ave., Warren, will have the Total Package Band performing from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday.
On A1 of Thursday’s Vindicator, the article “Pickets protest at steel mill in Warren” incorrectly stated the outside contractors working at the Severstal Warren steel mill are nonunion. The story should have said the outside contractors do not belong to United Steelworkers Local 1375. The article also said that 270 laid-off workers could be recalled for the work now being done by outside contractors. In fact, 171 of the 270 workers laid off from the mill could fill those positions.
