Megan Fox is engaged

LOS ANGELES

Megan Fox is off the market. Again.

Publicist Dominique Appel says Fox, 24, is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, actor Brian Austin Green, but declined to elaborate.

Fox was previously engaged to Green, 36, whom she has been dating for several years. Fox can next be seen in the film “Jonah Hex,” opening Friday.

Talented family

NEW YORK

Oscar-nominated actress Gabourey Sidibe isn’t the only one in the family with talent. In a segment that aired Tuesday night, her mom, Alice Tan Ridley, auditioned for “America’s Got Talent” and wowed the audience.

An NBC spokeswoman confirms the 58-year-old Ridley tried out for the reality show in late April. Her rendition of the Etta James classic “At Last” brought the audience to their feet, and the judges unanimously voted to send her through to the next round in Las Vegas.

NBC says it doesn’t believe the judges knew who Ridley was before the taping. She identified herself as a singer who’s been performing in New York subways for the past 20 years.

Sidibe made her acting debut in the critically acclaimed film “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire.”

No charges

MIAMI BEACH, Fla.

Prosecutors in Miami-Dade County said Wednesday they won’t file charges against Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola after a woman claimed the MTV “Jersey Shore” castmate punched her in the face at a South Beach nightclub May 8.

Prosecutors say a case of battery may have occurred but it’s not policy to file misdemeanor charges against those no longer in the county. Giancola has since returned to New York. The case could be reopened if Giancola returns to the Miami-area, which Giancola’s attorney, James Leonard Jr., says his client doesn’t plan on doing.

‘American Pie’ actor accused of DUI

LOS ANGELES

Actor Chris Klein has been arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of drunken driving. The California Highway Patrol says in a news release the 31-year-old “American Pie” star was pulled over early Wednesday in the San Fernando Valley after being spotted weaving across lanes on the westbound Hollywood Freeway.

CHP Officer Patrick Kimball says Klein was booked and released on his own recognizance.

Klein’s publicist Jillian Fowkes did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
