Game plan outlined: Boardman Rotary Club welcomed Eric Wolford, left, football coach at Youngstown State University, to its June 11 meeting, where he spoke of plans for the 2010 season and of his decision to return to the Valley after 20 years. He plans to introduce several events to bring the team and community closer together. These include kids’ camps, Football 101 camps for women, tailgating with the players, and his own foundation to support children with special needs. He said the Valley is a great place to raise his kids. He complimented Ron Strollo, YSU athletic director, for his support in preparing top-rate facilities that will help bring high quality recruits to the team. Thanking the coach for spending time with the group was Bob Mastriana, club president.
