Electric aggregation notices go out to 9 Mahoning County townships

Staff report

YOUNGSTOWN

Residents of nine Mahoning County townships included in a new electric aggregation program can expect to receive a mailing today concerning aggregation.

The program, offered by First Energy Solutions, is expected to save the average resident more than $150 over the next three years, said county Administrator George J. Tablack. Eligible residents and small businesses will have 21 days to return an opt-out card to First Energy Solutions if they don’t want to participate.

Those with questions should call First Energy Solutions at 866-636-3749. Residents are being asked not to call county or township offices because they are not equipped to handle a high volume of calls.

Participating townships are Beaver, Berlin, Coitsville, Ellsworth, Goshen, Green, Jackson, Milton and Springfield.
