Boat parade planned

GUILFORD LAKE

The theme this year for the 28th annual Guilford Lake 4th of July Boat Parade is “Your Favorite State in the United States.” The parade begins at 2 p.m.

All boats must be preregistered and insured, and liability release forms must be signed. Sign up at the Guilford Lake Grille, Mark’s Landing or the Guilford Lake State Park Office is through July 3. Prizes will be awarded at noon July 10 at the state park pavilion on Teegarden Road. Take a favorite covered dish; hot dogs will be provided.
