1-car accident leaves Masury man dead

A Masury, Ohio, man was killed in a one-car accident in Hermitage.

Russell R. Mohney, 48, 1251 Broadway Ave., Masury, died at 7:02 a.m. Wednesday after his vehicle went out of control on a curve on Orangeville Road near East Street, Hermitage police said.

Police said Mohney was traveling south on Orangeville when his car left the road and rolled onto its roof.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police said it appeared as though he was not wearing a seat belt.

4 men charged in Bazetta carjacking

BAZETTA

Four men were charged with aggravated robbery after a carjacking near Walmart on Millennium Boulevard.

Charged were:

Maurice D. Teague, 19, of Almyra Avenue in Youngstown;

Jerome Turner, 24, of Hillman Way in Boardman;

Jermaine Beverly, 20, of East Lucius Avenue in Youngstown;

James Williams, 18, of Youngstown, no address provided.

Bazetta police said the four robbed two men around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police arrested all but Beverly about 30 minutes after the robbery on Larchmont Avenue and state Route 82.

Beverly was arrested around 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, a short distance from the crime scene.
