Free help with career, education goals


LISBON

Eastern Gateway Community College is offering free help to GED-holders, recent high school graduates, displaced workers and anyone in need of some direction to assist with future career and education goals.

It will offer a free Career Kickoff Workshop from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Family and Community Resource Center, 513 East Washington St., Lisbon.

The purpose of the workshop is to help individuals develop an education and career plan leading to employment and economic self-sufficiency. Workshop activities are designed for individuals who are undecided about their career goals and not sure what kind of education and training will be best for them.
