Contestants will vie for scholarships

The Miss Ohio Scholarship Program has announced that from Wednesday until Saturday 26 contestants from across the state will be competing for the title of Miss Ohio 2010, for more than $44,000 in scholarships, and for a chance to represent Ohio at the Miss America pageant in January.

One of the contestants is Jacquelyn Nichols of Warren, who has earned the title of Miss Vacationland. The 23-year old student at Kent State University is a vocalist. Her platform is “Autoimmune Foundation of America.”
