Woman says she drove son to Pa. shooting scene

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) — An eastern Pennsylvania woman says she drove her son and another man to a home where they planned to rob a man who ended up shot to death almost two years ago.

Terrie Collopy, 44, of Allentown sobbed as she testified Monday in a hearing in the July 2008 death of 47-year-old David Walterick.

Collopy and her son, 19-year-old Bobby Riddick Jr., are charged along with 19-year-old Marcus Breeland with homicide, robbery, burglary and criminal conspiracy.

Collopy and Breeland waived their preliminary hearings Monday but testified against Riddick. District Judge Karen Devine sent all charges against him to Lehigh County Court. Before testifying, Collopy told her son “I love you. I have to tell the truth.”

The victim’s widow also cried as she said two men barged into their home and shot him.
