The South Avenue accident in Boardman that killed Nicholas Stubler, 21, of Poland, on Saturday was one of several motorcycle accidents in the Mahoning Valley over the weekend.

Motorcyclist Michael Bufano, 30, of Warren, was killed in a one-vehicle crash at 4:19 p.m. Saturday on King Graves Road near Celestial Drive in Howland Township.

Bufano, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, was eastbound on King Graves Road, failed to negotiate a left curve, drove off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and was ejected, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

A 22-year-old West Side man died shortly before midnight Sunday, when he lost control and was ejected from the motorcycle he was riding on Interstate 680 southbound near the Market Street Bridge. That motorcyclist, whose identity has not been released, was not wearing a helmet.

Another helmetless motorcyclist, David Crook, 55, was hospitalized in critical condition following an 11 p.m. Sunday accident at Fifth Avenue and Tod Lane.
