1080 Media is 8-1 in Class B League

Tyler Chapin gave up one run on three hits over four innings and 1080 Media pounded out 11 singles to beat Youngstown Express, 8-1, in Class B action on Monday.

The game score also matched the record (8-1) of 1080, whose reliever, Will Frazier, pitched three shutout innings.

Chris Zadrowski led the attack with three hits and two RBIs. Joe Aulizia had three hits and scored a run while Mick Manser added two hits, two runs and an RBI.

Dave DiBernardi had a double and drove home Sean Mancino for the lone Express run.

Rondinelli 11, Action 0

STRUTHERS

Aaron McGee of Rondinelli Tuxedo had a one-hit shutout against Action Physical Therapy in a six-inning game in which McGee struck out nine and walked two.

Zack Stein, Adam Shrodak and Jake Double had two hits apiece and combined for six RBIs and four runs scored. Zack Palumbo had Action’s lone hit.

Rondinelli 5, OTN 2

STRUTHERS

Rondinelli scored four runs in the fifth with Jake Double knocking in two.

In the third, Double also had a double that scored Phil Lipari.

In the fourth, OTN took a 2-1 lead as Nate Fader’s double scored Dante Lewis followed by Gary Revale’s two-out single.

Dave Sugar 12, Action 6

STRUTHERS

A seven-run third inning enabled Sugar to take control.

John McCormick had three hits, while John Korpon and Scott McBride added two hits and two RBIs.

For Action, Mike Riffe went 4-for-4 and scored three times.
