Road projects scheduled to start in Mahoning Co.

Beginning Monday, state Route 45 between Western Reserve and Berlin Station roads in Ellsworth Township will be closed for about 90 days for an intersection-grade adjustment and culvert replacement.
The detour will be U.S. Route 224 to state Route 534 to state Route 14 to state Route 165. The work is the beginning of a $1.4 million project to improve the intersection of Route 45 and Leffingwell Road by lowering the hill on Route 45 just before the intersection.
The project also includes the replacement of two culverts on Route 45 north of Leffingwell. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by October.
Also beginning Monday, and continuing until further notice, state Route 165 from state Route 46 to state Route 626 in Beaver Township will be reduced to one lane with traffic maintained by flaggers for resurfacing work.
The work is the beginning of a $1.3 million project to resurface Route 165 from Route 46 to Route 626. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by September.
Beginning June 21, state Route 165 just east of Route 45, Green Township, will be closed for about 30 days for bridge work. The detour will be Route 46 to state Route 446 to state Route 62 to Route 165. Access to all homes and businesses will be maintained during construction.
The work is the beginning of a $1.6 million project to resurface Route 165 from Eighth Street, the northern Beloit corporation limit, to state Route 14. The project also includes the replacement of three culverts. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by September.
On Monday and Tuesday, state Route 193 (Belmont Avenue) and U.S. Route 422 in Youngstown will see some changes.
Traffic on Route 193/Route 422 from just west of Crescent Street to just west of Belmont will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
The following ramp closures will remain in place until Monday morning, when they will be re-opened:
The exit ramp from Route 193 eastbound to Crescent will be closed. The detour is Route 193/U.S. 422 eastbound to Belmont to Federal Street to Rayen Avenue to Crescent.
The entrance ramp from Crescent to state Route 193 eastbound will be closed. The detour is Crescent to Rayen to Federal to Belmont.
The exit ramp from Route 193 eastbound to Route 193 northbound (Wirt Street) and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (U.S. 422 westbound and state Route 289) will be closed. The detour is U.S. 422 eastbound to Belmont to U.S. 422 westbound.
Beginning Wednesday, the following lane restrictions and ramp closures will occur:
Traffic on state Route 193/Route 422 westbound from just west of Crescent to west of Belmont will be shifted to the eastbound side until the end of September. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction.
The Route 422 westbound ramp to Crescent will be closed through late September. The detour is Fifth Avenue to Belmont to Federal to Rayen to Crescent.
The Route 422/Federal Street/Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard entrance ramp to U.S. 422/Route 193 westbound will be closed through late September. The detour will be Wirt to U.S. 422 eastbound to Belmont to U.S. 422 westbound.
The work is part of a $10.6 million project to replace the guardrail and resurface Route 422 from Route 193 to Belmont and Route 193 from Crescent to Route 422.
The project also includes the rehabilitation of four bridges: Route 193 over Crescent, Route 193 over Rayen and the railroad, and the two bridges at the Route 193/Route 422 interchange.
The entire project is scheduled to be completed by August 2011.
