Leetonia plans to survey families this week

LEETONIA

The village will be conducting a door-to-door, low- and moderate-income family survey this week to secure information needed to apply for grants and other outside funding for village projects.

Volunteers conducting the survey will have identification tags, and all financial information gathered will be confidential.

Gary E. Phillips, village administrator, is asking all residents to cooperate with the survey, saying the data will help Leetonia secure government funding for the next two years. The information will be used only by the local government staff administering the grant programs and state agency personnel responsible for overseeing those programs.

Information and records will be released only as permitted by state and federal law.

The village is seeking volunteers to help with the survey. Anyone interested should call the administrator’s office at 330-427-8090.
