Family honors the Grecos for 50th anniversary

BONITA SPRINGS, FLA.

The family of Mr. and Mrs. Louis M. Greco, of Bonita Springs, Fla., honored them during a June 12 dinner for their 50th wedding anniversary.

Hosted by the couple’s children, the event took place at at Cafe 422 in Warren. The celebration will continue in late summer when the couple goes on a Mediterranean Cruise.

The Grecos have two children, Cheryl (Tony) Sylvester of Athens and Cindy (Rodney) Donald of Warren. The couple’s three grandchildren are Anthony Sylvester, and Alexandra and Alyssa Donald.

Donna M. Valicenti and Mr. Greco were united in marriage June 18, 1960, at St. Edward Church in Youngstown. They are members of Lady of Our Lights Church.

Mrs. Greco was employed by Lyden Oil Co. and then worked 27 years as a Realtor for Burgan Real Estate in Youngstown. She retired in 2002. She belongs to the Daisy Dozen Garden Club and Bonita Springs Golf and Country Club. She is a former member of St. Elizabeth Junior Guild and Warren Junior Women’s League.

Mr. Greco, who retired in 2004, had been golf course superintendent for Squaw Creek Country Club in Vienna. He is a member of Bonita Springs Golf and Country Club and past president of Northern Ohio Superintendents Association of America, and he serves on the board of many golf course associations.
