SANIBEL, Fla.

Jeff Bakal and his bride, the former Kari McHale, both of Cape Coral, Fla., honeymooned in Paris, France, following their March 20 wedding at Sanibel Harbour Resort and a yacht cruise reception in the Gulf of Mexico aboard the Princess.

The daughter of Joe and Kay McHale of McDonald and son of Hal and Audrey Bakal of Sunrise, Fla., exchanged nuptial vows during a 6:30 p.m. ceremony officiated by Dr. Dan Lamey and Rabbi Michael Raab.

Invitations will be issued for a postnuptial reception to be Aug. 6 at the Fifth Season Banquet Hall in Mineral Ridge.

The bride’s cream tea-length gown featured beading and spaghetti straps.

Sage green gowns were worn by Beth Kolat, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Holly Rees and Emily Snyder. Kevin McHale also was the bride’s attendant. Flower girl was Brooklyn Bakal.

Best man was Christian Sachleben and groomsmen were Brian Spry and Robert Bakal.

The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She is a kindergarten teacher with Tanglewood Elementary School in Fort Myers, Fla.

The groom is a senior claims adjuster with Farmer’s Insurance in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He graduated from Florida International University in Davie with a degree in hospitality management.
