Mosquito Lake support group plans social, breakfast, show show

The newly formed Friends of Mosquito Lake State Park Campgrounds is seeking volunteers for the group.

The group’s goals are to bring positive attention to the campgrounds and to raise funds to make improvements. The building of a family-center pavilion is planned.

Upcoming activities include:

An ice cream social 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday near the campground office. Ice cream sundaes with chocolate syrup, sprinkles or caramel sauce and root beer floats will be available for a donation of $1. Ice cream socials will continue every other Saturday through Sept. 4.

A Father’s Day pancake breakfast 6 to 9 a.m. June 20 at the amphitheater on the campgrounds. Pancakes, sausage, juice, milk and coffee will be served for a $3 donation.

A craft show 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 17. The fee for an 8-foot table is $10. For more information, call 330-360-7867.
