June 4
Theft: A $500 laptop computer was taken from an apartment in the 1900 block of Wolosyn Circle.
Auto theft: A 1999 Pontiac Grand Am was stolen in the 5000 block of Aravesta Avenue.
Aggravated menacing: A customer-service representative with a South Avenue bank told police that after making a random service call, the customer complained about having to wait in line and said he would like to stab another employee.
Assault: Daniel Reyes, 38, of 446 Brandon Ave., Struthers, was taken into custody at a South Avenue motel on a warrant from the township. His bond was $1,250.
Domestic violence: Austintown police handed 31-year-old Deshawn J. Webb, 249 E. Dewey Ave., Youngstown, to Boardman authorities. Webb was wanted on a warrant charging him.
Theft: Brittany E. Jones, 19, of 712 Carlisle St., New Castle, Pa., was charged with stealing $120 worth of clothing from Sears in Southern Park Mall.
Harassment: A Stanton Avenue woman said her former boyfriend has sent numerous unwanted and harassing text messages.
Vandalism: Someone punched and broke a wooden bar stool at Aces Wild Wings, 277 Boardman-Canfield Road.
June 5
Harassment: A West Boulevard woman reported receiving the latest in a series of unwanted cell-phone calls and text messages.
Theft: A $100 rearview mirror was stolen off a vehicle at a Doral Drive store.
Theft: A worker for Agnew Farm Equipment, 7700 Market St., reported a customer refused to pay a bill for repairs to a weed trimmer.
Theft: A woman stole a man’s wallet at a Market Street store.
Misuse of a credit card: A man at a South Avenue business reported losing a credit card and finding out it was used without permission at a gas station.
Domestic violence: James C. Simmons, 64, of 105 Meadowbrook Ave., Boardman, faced charges of domestic violence and menacing a police officer, both misdemeanors, after a family member alleged that after breaking a bedroom door, Simmons held two knives and threatened to kill her. He also threatened to harm an officer, a report said.
Domestic violence: Authorities responded to a fight at a Southern Boulevard residence, where they charged 35-year-old Clifford P. Ross, 45 N. Garland Ave., Youngstown, after his girlfriend alleged he had struck her in the leg during an argument. Ross also was wanted on a probation-violation count.
Assault: Reported at a residence in the 2000 block of Wolosyn Circle, though no other details were in the report.
Theft: Eleven outdoor decorative lights were stolen from a home in the 100 block of Brainard Drive.
Theft/criminal damaging: A Brainard Drive woman reported damage to a swing set and the theft of a swing.
Trespassing: Officers responded to an unwanted person in the 200 block of Forest Park Drive and took into custody 37-year-old Duane E. Williams, 5009 Friendship Ave., Boardman, on a criminal-trespassing charge after the homeowner said Williams was continually knocking on her door and looking through her window. Police had warned Williams not to return, a report showed.
June 6
Theft: A township woman’s purse was stolen as she patronized a Doral Drive store.
Theft: A personal check was removed from the front door of a Sheridan Road residence.
Theft: Fifteen Xanax tablets and coins were missing from a vehicle in the 5200 block of Pinetree Lane.
Burglary: To a Shields Road apartment through a rear window. A jewelry box and several pieces of jewelry were stolen.
Theft: A small amount of money was removed from a car in the 300 block of Shields Road.
Breaking and entering: Someone used a tool to pry open a door and enter Rolle Brothers Painting, 5791 Southern Blvd., though nothing appeared to be missing.
Theft: Change was taken from a vehicle in the 100 block of Alburn Drive.
Criminal damaging: Someone broke a driver’s-side window, then ransacked a vehicle in the 300 block of Shields Road.
June 7
Recovered property: Two tool sets were returned after a man stole them from Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A woman reported the theft of her purse and cell phone at a home in the 300 block of Erskine Avenue.
Harassment: A Mathews Road woman reported getting the latest in a monthlong series of harassing calls.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A Green Bay Drive man said his son borrowed his 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier without authorization.
