What better way is there to make new friends than through a competitive game of bowling.

Fourth-graders of North, Union and Dobbins Elementary schools met each other in a social gathering June 4 at Camelot Lanes in Boardman.

Since the end of the school year is here, the event was used as a way for students to meet and greet their soon-to-be classmates at McKinley Elementary. Some students already knew each other, but several say this was their first time meeting some of the students.

The fourth-graders challenged each other to bowling matches and several games in the arcade. The students wore their school shirts, displaying school spirit, though they will soon all belong to the same school.

Friday was last day of classes.
