Celebrate Poland adds more festivities
Celebrate Poland will sponsor a Chalk It Up contest on June 26, where kids can decorate the sidewalks with their drawings.

The first day of festivities on June 25 will conclude with a fireworks show at 10 p.m.
The Civil War Encampment will be set up all day June 25 and 26. There also will be a Civil War Re-Enactment June 26 at 5 p.m. at Baird Mitchell Field.
Celebrate Poland is just two weeks away and there is plenty of entertainment lined up for the whole family.
The festivities begin June 25 with a Civil War Encampment and wrap up June 26 with a lighted tour of Riverside Cemetery. In between, there will be a craft show, singing contest, parade, fireworks, a kids’ fest and an authentic Civil War wedding.
Here is some information that will come in handy when planning your time at the festival.
• The craft show still has table space available for $30. Those interested can contact Barbara Banks at 330-757-4584 or celebratepoland@gmail.com.
• Early registration is still being accepted for Poland Idol. Contestants can also register beginning at 10:30 a.m. on June 26. Cost is $20.
• A Bounce-A-Round has been added to the schedule. Bounce-A-Round will be available June 25 with a Rock Wall and Cars Bounce. The cost will be $3 for the Rock Wall and $1 for three minutes in the Cars Bounce. On June 26, Bounce-A-Round is sponsoring a Kids’ Fest with many items. Wristbands will be $8 or two for $15.
• For Kids’ Fest, there will also be EMS vehicles available for tours. Akron Children’s Hospital will send their Mobile Intensive Care Unit, Stat Medevac will be there with a helicopter and Poland Police and Fire will also have some vehicles for the kids to look at and touch.
• Tony Tonite! DJ will play music June 25 from 5 to 11 p.m. He will donate all of his time.
• Anyone interested in being in the Poland Firemen’s Parade should fax a request to the fire department at 330-757-1374 or e-mail celebratepoland@gmail.com. Floats are welcome.
