Neighbors | Shaiyla Hakeem .Built in 1804, the Old Stone Tavern has served several purposes for Poland Township. The current antique shop located in the tavern will be relocating placing the tavern back on the sales market.
The property that houses Poland’s Old Stone Tavern Antiques is for sale as of June 6.
Built in 1804, the structure is classified as a century building. Originally, the tavern was home to Poland Village founder Jonathan Fowler and used as a tavern and general store. Poland native William McKinley enlisted into the Union Army from the steps of the tavern prior to his presidency.
The antique store will be relocating to a new location and cutting back on their hours. The asking price for the tavern is $640,900. Customers can still purchase merchandise from its current location until the property is sold. The store will remain open during its normal business hours Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.
