Train kills Ohio man on bridge
MILAN, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say an Ohio man who wanted to dive off a bridge into a river was struck and killed by a train before he could jump.
The young man and a friend had climbed onto the bridge above the Huron River near Milan, about 60 miles southeast of Toledo.
Authorities say one of them jumped in time, but 19-year-old Stefen McKinney of Norwalk didn’t make it. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
McKinney was with a group of six or seven young adults who had gathered along the river to swim and enjoy the outdoors.
