Quakertown Super Kids Race is Saturday in Salem

The Quakertown Super Kids Race for youths with physical or mental handicaps will run from 9 a.m. to about noon Saturday in front of Salem City Hall on Broadway Avenue.

This year, 16 racers will be participating in the soap box derby for children. Winners from the single and double divisions will go on to the National Super Kids Race in Akron on July 23-25. A third winner will be chosen at random from all eliminated racers. John Frazier, winner of the 1934 Youngstown Soap Box Derby, will start the race.
