Grove City driver found dead in truck

GROVE CITY, pa.

Authorities in central Pennsylvania say a Grove City trucker missing since last month has been found dead in the cab of his wrecked tractor-trailer down a highway ravine in Lewistown.

The Lewistown Sentinel says a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation work crew on Wednesday found the truck down a ravine in a wooded area along Route 322. Mifflin County Coroner Daniel Lynch pronounced 51-year-old Andrew L. Jackson dead at the scene. An autopsy is planned later. A Labrador retriever was also found dead in the cab.

Mifflin County Regional Police Cpl. Robert Haines says Jackson had left Cleveland on May 25 and was headed to the Camp Hill area with a load of rolled steel. Officials believe the eastbound vehicle crossed into the westbound lanes then went off the roadway. and down the ravine.
