YOUNGSTOWN

“Livin’ in Hell,” a song by Youngstown-based rock band Turbo Lovers, will be included on a compilation CD produced by Classic Rock Magazine.

The monthly magazine is published in England and has a worldwide circulation of more than 70,000, with a compilation CD included in each issue.

The Turbo Lovers song will be on a CD titled “Roadhouse Blues, 15 Barroom Bruisers,” which will be inserted in either the July or August issue.

The CD will complement a cover story on The Doors.

The magazine hits U.S. bookstands a month later than in Europe.

“Seventy thousand people are going to get a compilation with a Turbo Lovers song on it,” said B.J. Lisko, frontman and guitarist for the band.

“Anyone who thinks there isn’t anything going on new in rock ’n’ roll needs to pick up an issue, because there’s a ton, and Classic Rock finds it, even if it is in Youngstown.”

Turbo Lovers have already been reviewed three times in the magazine.

The band’s next show will be June 19 at The Royal Oaks, opening for New Jersey punk-rock veterans Electric Frankenstein.
