Rowland’s single delivers 4-3 victory for 1080 Media

Jay Rowland knocked in the game-winning run with an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth as 1080 Media beat Roth Brothers, 4-3, in Monday’s Class “B” League action.

Chris Morgan came on in the ninth and picked up the victory. Dillon Haviland went eight strong innings for 1080, giving up four hits and striking out 13.

Also for 1080, Dan Popio had a hit and two RBIs.

For Roth, Alex Lopez had a hit and scored a run while Tommy Quealy added an RBI.

YOUNGSTOWN Express 3, Action PHYSICAL THERAPY 2

John Fithian had two hits including an RBI double that proved to be the deciding factor in Youngstown Express’ winy.

Sean Mancino picked up the victory for Express in relief.

For APT, Cody Kirk had two hits including a double and drove home both runs.

Rondinelli Tuxedo 3, Wharmby Sports 2

Rondinelli Tuxedo scored twice in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Aaron McGee pitched the complete game for Rondinelli, allowing two runs while scattering six hits, walking one and striking out nine.

Phil Lipari had two hits including a double and he scored two runs.

Dom DeFelice suffered the loss, going five plus innings, giving up three runs on four hits, walking three and striking out four.

John Price and Jason Burkes each had a hit and an RBI for Wharmby.

Dave Sugar Excavating 6, OTN Performance 5

Dave Sugar Excavating needed nine innings to win. G.J. Senchak picked up the victory in relief. He pitched the final 42/3 innings, giving up one run on five hits, walking two and striking out eight.

Cody Pitzo had two hits, including an RBI double in the top of the ninth that proved to be the winning hit. John Korpon had two hits and a run for Sugar.

Mike Watson suffered the defeat and Anthony Lucas had three hits including a double.

Watson had two hits, an RBI and scored a run.

Livi Steel 1, Astro Falcons 0

Livi Steel used strong pitching to beat the last undefeated team. Tyler Hartman pitched a complete-game shutout, giving up three hits, walking one and striking out 13.

Tyler Budisky had two hits including a triple and scored the run for Livi.

Jeff Deckerd suffered the loss, allowing one run on five hits, walking one and fanning four.

Josh Gore, Ryan Trimbur, and Raul Pizzaro each had a hit for the Falcons.

CLASS AA OHIO GLACIERS 12, YANEK CHIROPRATIC 2

Jake Kucek and Nick Dinello each had two doubles for Glaciers in the five-inning game at Pemberton Park.

Winning pitcher Armani Johnson homered and scored three runs.

Brian Palmer and Ryan Stanko had hits for Yanek.
